What specific achievement makes you particularly proud to be part of OHLA USA?
Completion of the Wallingford, Meriden, and Berlin train stations in Connecticut. OHLA USA (Judlau) was working in an entirely new market, partnering with new craft employees, new subcontractors, and a new agency (CTDOT). The majority of the project team were new hires to the company due to the location of the job. Not only was Judlau able to complete the project successfully to the client’s satisfaction, but many of the salaried employees brought on board for this project are with the company today making major contributions.
What do you find most fulfilling about working at OHLA USA?
The projects we build are often complicated in scale and require a great deal of problem-solving and cooperation. I enjoy working with all the stakeholders (OHLA USA, subcontractors, Owners) in the planning and execution stages. When it all comes together it’s very satisfying.
What are OHLA USA’s greatest strengths?
We’re diverse in our portfolio and continuing to grow and take on new challenges.
What do you think sets OHLA USA apart from its competition?
The people! We have amazing people in this company. We never shy away from challenges. In 14 years, I have seen tremendous growth and we have a bright future ahead of us.
